The role of neuromodulation in sensitive skin

Abstract:

The role of neuromodulation in skin health and disease is increasingly recognized, as it is closely related to skin sensitivity, barrier function, aging, and pigmentation. This review aims to explore the critical role of neuromodulation in sensitive skin, analyzing its impact from three perspectives: neurovascular reactivity, sensory characteristics, and emotional skincare. Additionally, it proposes recommendations for future research directions.
