Abstract:

People put forward higher requirements for the color diversity and environmental protection performance of wool fabrics. Although chemical dyes are rich in color and mature the in dyeing process, they are often accompanied by environmental pollution and ecological destruction. Therefore, this paper presents the dyeing of natural plant dyes on the surface of wool fabrics and its performance research. The absorbency, fixation rate, breaking capacity and dyeing rate of wool fabric were measured, and the dyeing performance of wool fabric was analyzed. The dyeing process of natural plant dyes was studied by preparing dyes, adjusting the color tone and perfecting the dyeing process. The results show that dyeing wool fabric with natural plant dyes can make the fabric reach the same chromaticity level in a short time, and the color difference are not more than 1 px at a time. The spectral characteristics of the dyed fabric do not change obviously. After long-term soaking treatment, the breaking capacity of the fabric fiber does not change obviously, and the chromaticity level remains unchanged. It indicates that the dyeing performance of natural plant dyes is relatively stable, and the dyeing rate is relatively fast, with the longest time not exceeding 0.4 h.

Key words: plant dyes, woolen fabric, absorbance, fixation rate, fracture ability, dyeing rate
