Determination of the residual solvent content for preparing proanthocyanidin lipsomes by head-space gas chromatography

Abstract: The suitable organic solvent used for preparing proanthocyanidin liposomes product was ascertained,and the residual organic solvent in the proanthocyanidin liposomes product was removed with nitrogen-blowing.Adopting anhydrous ethanol as the internal standard,a method for detection of residual solvent content with head-space gas chromatography was established.Under the optimal chromatographic conditions,the calibration curve of ether shows good linearity (R2=0.999 3) within the range of 0-25 mg/L,and the spiked recoveries are 91%-120% with the relative standard deviation (RSD) less than 4.72%.The limit of detection is 1.616 mg/L (S/N=3).This method can accurately determine the residual solvent content in the prepared proanthocyanidin liposomes product within a short period.
