Abstract: A kind of illite facial mask (IFM) was prepared based on the character of illite.The IFM was made of basic material,illite mineral powder (IMP) and stabilizing agent xantham gum.Mass fraction composition of the basic material was glycerol of 56.0%,double base additive of 28.0%,deionized water of 15.0%,and vitamin E of 1.0%.The basic material,IMP and xantham gum with respective mass fraction of 20.0%,79.5% and 0.5% were mixed homogenously to form the product.Through various laboratory tests as well as application practice,the product displays moisture retention capacity of 72.5%,as well as good performance such as good slippery and smooth feeling,heat resisting,cold resisting and storing stability.
