Abstract:

The characteristics of keratinocytes (KC and HaCaT), melanocytes (MC), mouse melanoma cells (B-16) , mononuclear macrophages (THP-1) and human skin fibroblasts (HSF) were reviewed, as well as their applications in cosmetic efficacy evaluation. The commonly used detection indexes for evaluating the efficacy of different types of cosmetics by use of these cells were summarized. The characteristics of these skin cells and their advantages and disadvantages in vitro culture were analyzed, which might provide a theoretical basis for evaluating the efficacy of cosmetic raw materials.
