Application of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry in the analysis of prohibited substances in cosmetics

Abstract: This article described the key technologies in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis including:sample pretreatment technology,commonly used mass analyzers,matrix effect elimination method,qualitative and quantitative determination.Application ofLC-MS technology in the determination of prohibited components in cosmetics was reviewed.It is pointed out that the detection of components of prohibited substances in cosmetics has been progressed from single component to multi-component.More simple sample preparation techniques,and high-throughput,high-resolution,high-accuracy mass analysis techniques have been applied to the detection of prohibited substances in cosmetics.
