Abstract: The interactions between a sugar-based cationic surfactant N,N-dimethyl-N-[3-(gluconamide)]propyl-N-tetradecylammonium bromides (C14DGPB) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) were investigated by fluorescence and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy. The effects of various factors on the interactions between C14DGPB and BSA were investigated. The results show that the optimal conditions for interactions between C14DGPB and BSA were the action time 30 min,0.03 mol/L NaCl and pH=6.6.The dynamic quenching constants, binding parameters and thermodynamic parameters of C14DGPB with BSA at different temperatures can be obtained by calculation.According to the thermodynamic parameters,it shows that the hydrophobic interaction has played dominant roles in the interactions between C14DGPB and BSA,which has a great influence on the hydrophobic microenvironment of tyrosine and tryptophan.
