Abstract

Abstract: Four main mechanisms of efficacies of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) in cosmetics,including photoaging delaying,whitening,convergence and moisturizing were summarized.The photoaging delaying was discussed in two aspects,the scavenging of free radicals as well as regulation and control of enzyme activity that relevant with photoaging action.The descriptions provide a theoretical basis for applications of EGCG in cosmetics.
